Set For Success

This back to school event gifts new backpacks and every teacher-required school supply to AOS98 elementary students.

This collaborative effort between CRC, AOS98, and the Boothbay Region YMCA is held each August at the Boothbay Region Elementary School. The event welcomes over 350 students and family members. Children are greeted by their school principals and off they go to choose a backpack, and visit a variety of vendors, community members, after-school club and sports organizers. Students can find all the best back-to-school swag, including hygiene kits from the Rotary Club, reusable water bottles from Lincoln Health, and so much more!

Students and families can end the afternoon with their peers and teachers at a Community Barbeque with burgers, hot dogs, and more!

With one national study showing that parents pay an average of $1,239 on school supplies and related expenses in 2015 — up 7.6 percent from last year — the Set for Success program offers much-needed help to parents and kids.

We continue to accept donations to help offset costs of school supplies.
